The charges were ultimately dropped by the State based upon the client completing a diversion program, and the record may be expunged of the arrest in the future.
According to court documents, the defendant was involved in an argument with his live-in girlfriend; it escalated, and the police were called. After speaking with both parties, the officers arrested the defendant on charges of felony battery and kidnapping/false imprisonment.

Once the case was assigned to misdemeanor court, Attorney Rizzo persuaded the new prosecutor on the case to offer her client a diversion program. Upon completion of that program, all charges will be dropped against the client, and the record can then be expunged of the arrest.
